A Students' Conference
Friday, May 20 2022. Last day of mobility in Greece. A Students' Conference: As hosts, 2nd Gerakas Senior High School organised a brief student-conference on topics related to European values, European Identity and the future of EU. The students met at the Hall of the School, they were seated in transnational groups of 5-6 persons. We applied the World Cafe method, a simple process of bringing people together around questions that matter. We set three reflection questions: 1)What impressed you the most, positively or negatively, in the EUCHI project 2) What means for you being a European citizen 3)How do you envision the future of Europe? The students became energised, inspired, excited and creative while exchanging their ideas. Having a paper and coloured pens in the centre gave them a "visual voice" and they were invited to "create" their own paper-poster of ideas, their shared understanding and vision put in words, in shapes, in colours, in images. The results of this activity were presented to the assembly of teachers and students.
At the same time, the teachers participating in the program from the four
countries held a meeting to evaluate the project.
Then the groups of students presented the posters with their impressions
and short videos of the program's actions were shown.
