KA2 - Ευρωπαϊκή Πολιτιστική Κληρονομιά και Ταυτότητα





From Monday April 4th to Friday April 8th 2022 our school's ERASMUS PLUS team consisting of 8 students and 3 teachers visited the city of Arezzo, Italy for the third mobility within the ERASMUS+ EUCHI program (European Culture, Heritage & Identity ) in Italy.

Mobility to Italy started on Sunday, April 3, 2022 with a departure by plane. Our first walk through the alleys of beautiful Arezzo in Tuscany and dinner in an elegant restaurant in Piazza Grande.





April 4:
We visited L' Instituto Statale di Istruzione Superiore "Valdarno", the reception school in Tuscany. After a warm welcome from the Principal of the school and the Mayor of the town we walked through the beautiful medieval Valdarno with the Spanish students and teachers. Later our students attended a video editing workshop at the school by the Italian teacher Mr. Roberto Abenante.








April 5:
Visit to the enchanting Renaissance Florence at Santa Maria Novella, Duomo, Piaza della Republica, Fontana del Porcellino, Pianza dellA Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio and River Arn. Florence is a great open-air museum for anyone who loves history and the civilization. It is an Italian city full of interesting museums, squares, churches, statues and Renaissance art. An unforgettable experience for both students and teachers.





April 6
We spent the day in Arezzo learning about the history of the city and admiring it its medieval architecture. Arezzo, located in southeastern Tuscany, clearly visible on top of a hill at the crossroads of four valleys, the Val Tiberina, Casentino, Valdarno and Valdichiana features a wide range of sites including forts, monuments, churches and museums which all offered us an opportunity to step back into history.





April 7

Another day spent in Arezzo with lots to learn and places to visit under the guidance of the teachers of the Italian partner school: the ruins of a Roman amphitheatre, the Piazza Grande and the most important churches of the city. In the afternoon all the students visited MUMEC (Museum of Media and Communication) which houses a rich collection of machines, tools and devices that tell stories the history of communication and participated in a workshop learning about the concept of cinema through history and technology development. Later we were given our certificates of attendance and finished the day with dinner with our partners.
